ThriveAbility Care began with Zacharia Al-Kahil and a commitment to building support around each person. From small beginnings, the focus was on listening to families and understanding what meaningful support looks like in everyday life.

That intention continues to guide us: get to know the person, work with the people they trust and build clear, practical support together.

Shady joined as the work and responsibilities of ThriveAbility grew. His early role covered a broad range of tasks, including scheduling and helping develop policies and procedures.

Working closely with Zacharia, families and practitioners, Shady helped build the foundations of the organisation. That work developed into his role in compliance.

Alex joined to strengthen the way ThriveAbility organises and supports its work. His experience in technology, the legal sector and not for profit work brought a practical perspective to the growing team.

As Operations Manager, Alex helped develop the Microsoft environment, information security and day to day systems that support staff to work together and stay connected.

Opening our first child focused respite property marked a new chapter for ThriveAbility. It was a natural next step as the team responded to the needs of children and families.

The focus was on preparing a welcoming environment and planning support around each child’s routines, communication, interests and individual needs.

Nassor has grown with ThriveAbility from the beginning. His care for the participants he supported and his understanding of our support worker culture brought an important frontline perspective.

Joining the management team in quality and culture created more space for that experience to shape how we support workers, listen to families and keep improving our services.
