Short Term Accommodation gives eligible participants time apart from their usual care arrangements while their primary informal supports take a short break. It can be provided in different settings, with agreed disability supports based on the participant’s needs and NDIS plan. Every enquiry is considered individually.

Tell us what a usual day looks like for you. We ask about personal care, sleep, meals and the things you enjoy. Let us know what equipment you use and what helps you settle in. We check current plans before agreeing any complex care. You can ask what to bring, how transport works and how to stay in touch. We agree dates, support, costs and responsibilities before booking. Adult stays are enquiry only. Our main respite focus is children under 18. This is planned support, not crisis or emergency housing.

Is wheelchair accessible transport available?

ThriveAbility has a wheelchair accessible vehicle that can carry a participant while they remain seated in their wheelchair. It is available only as part of an agreed support service, subject to suitability and availability.
