What should we discuss before a stay?
Tell us about the purpose of the stay, preferred dates, access and equipment needs, communication, daily routines and current support plans. We also discuss costs, funding and who you want involved in planning.
How is suitability confirmed?
We review the home, support needs, current plans and worker skills together. Availability and an appropriate support arrangement must be confirmed before any stay is agreed. Complex care needs require a review of current plans and worker competency.
How do the accommodation options differ?
Child Focused Respite centres on children and families. Short Term Accommodation is a planned short stay with agreed support. Medium Term Accommodation relates to an eligible housing transition, with everyday supports arranged separately.
